Structural Glulam Timber

Structural Glulam Timber

Pollmeier’s BauBuche is the strongest Laminated-Veneer-Lumber (LVL) product available, designed for the growing engineered timber construction market as well as for architectural hardwood designer flooring.

POLLMEIER BAUBUCHE TIMBER

BauBuche is made of Europe’s most prevalent hardwood timber species European Beech. The high surface quality of Pollmeier’s products makes BauBuche ideally suited for visible construction elements. Furthermore, when smart structural engineering is paired with advanced, cost-efficient manufacturing technology, BauBuche structures are found to be cost-competitive with more conventional softwood timber structures.

Resource-conserving high-tech production
Beech from sustainable forestry, peeled, laminated, pressed, tailored and finished to become universal wooden flooring.

Why Choose BauBuche?

Beech is a hardwood in plentiful supply from sustainable forestry in central Europe, sourced no further away than 150km from Pollmeier’s production plant. BauBuche has outstanding load-bearing properties, rendering it perfect for engineered timber constructions.

Production of Laminated-Veneer-Lumber (LVL) ensures efficient utilisation of the raw material and permits a high degree of automation with modern technology.

The key advantages of BauBuche over other more typical softwood LVL products concern its outstanding strength (equivalent to an Australian GL27), very-large production sizes (standard beams of up to 18m length x 300mm width x 1360mm height), surface quality and the more elegant hardwood look. It has specifically been developed for elegant, large-scale engineered timber construction.
